Since the appearance of speculative Freemasonry with the foundation of the first Grand Lodge in London in the years 1717-1721, innumerable works of varying interest have been published, but certain documents constitute as many milestones in the history and spirituality of the Scottish Order even before the official constitution of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite.
